Family Day’s out in The New Forest

Our family friendly Bed and Breakfast in Burley is a great base  for exploring both The New Forest and the sea. The costal resorts of Milford on Sea and Highcliffe are just 8 miles away.

A few of our favourite days out for families in The New Forest and  around Hampshire are listed below:-

• New Peppa Pig World
• Exbury Gardens and Steam Railway. Christmas is in the air at Exbury, visit Santa on tha Santa Steam Railway or here the Christmas Tails on the Xmas Trail.
• Highcliff Castle Walk -Park in Highcliff Castle Grounds and walk down the steps to the beach, return to The Castle Tea Rooms for afternoon tea suitable for children and dogs ! seating inside or out.
• New Forest Wildlife Park
• Bolderwood Deer Sanctuary Just 10 minute drive from Burley and well worth a visit, there is a viewing platform and a herd of Fallow Deer. While the deer sanctuary is the most popular attraction at Bolderwood there is also a large grassy area for kicking a ball around,geta group together and play rounders.You will find a good picnic area in the woods and graded walks. Information for the walks is on the board at the car park at Bolderwood or visit The New Forest Ranger in The New Forest Cabin information point please note it is not always open.
